The capstone presentation event for the 2021 Second Semester Weekend Child Care Program for Indigenous Peoples—which has been taking place since November 6 running until December 18, 2021 at Jingxin Non-Profit Kindergarten in Wenshan, Taipei—will be held by the Taipei Indigenous Peoples Council at 1:30 PM, December 19, 2021 at the Chang-an Center of the Alliance for Children’s Benefits at 43 Chang-an W. Rd., 5th Fl., Datung Dist., Taipei. The program was designed to provide a diverse learning environment for indigenous children aged 3 to 6 residing in Taipei, who can benefit from classes on their cultures and languages.
Centered on the topic of ku kakituluan i qinaljan, which is the Paiwan language of My Tribe Classroom, the capstone event is a summary of the child care program devised to create learning contexts tailored to indigenous cultures in urban settings, incorporating culture, history, customs and humanities into teaching. The program also aims at sparking enthusiasm about ethnic education and encouraging imagination and creativity while motivating participants to learn and grow to love their own culture and languages.
Featuring music and dance performances, the presentation will display the children's work completed to date. The event will be held among an array of classic décor with indigenous themes and provide parents with all the fun stories their children experienced while learning. Parents will be able to realize the true significance of enrolling their kids in the program through performance, presentations and videos. All parents and family members are cordially invited to witness their children’s achievements and watch proudly as we enjoy the show.
