1.To assist aged indigenous people receive good care service and reduce the financial pressure, the Indigenous Peoples Commission, Taipei City Government has hereby announced the essential points.
2.Indigenous people who have become permanent residents, actually lived in the City for a year at least, move into registered nursery home and do not meet with the situations listed below are allowed to apply for the aged indigenous refuge allowance:
2.1 Obtain soldier’s pension or monthly pension.
2.2 The total family income each family member shared exceeds 1.5 times of the consumption in Taiwan.
3.The total family income mentioned in the essential points refer to Society Aid Law and Enforcement Rules of Society Aid; family members refer to the applicant, spouse, direct blood relatives, children who have become married do not count.
4.The allowance standards are listed as followings:
4.1 For retirement: Full allowance will be made, maximum NT20,000 per person per month, plus NT3,000 pocket money.
4.2 For nursery: Maximum NT25,000 per person per month, plus NT3,000 pocket money.
4.3 Individuals aged over 60 and are capable of handling his/her own daily life are for retirement; individuals aged over 55 and have been evaluated by the authority as incapable or obtain mentally/physically disable certificate, lose the wisdoms or vegetable are for nursery.
5.The allowance shall include meals, accommodation, basic care and other materials.
6.If the applicant has moved out of the city then he/she should informed the Commission within 10 days.
7.Individuals who have received the government pension are not allowed to apply for it.
8.Application procedures:
8.1 For retirement: Choose the retirement house and sign the contract, submit the application form with relevant documents attached to the Commission or district office, qualified applicants will be informed via mails or the fees need to be afford by the family.
8.2 For nursery: Apply for the evaluation of losing the wisdom from the Department of Social Welfares, Taipei City Government, qualified applicants are allowed to choose the nursery home, submit the application form with relevant documents attached to the Commission or district office, qualified applicants will be informed via mails or the fees need to be afford by the family.
9.Apply and appropriate the allowance:
9.1 The retirement house should submit the list of applicants and receipt to the Commission by 5th of the month.
9.2 The pocket money will be transfer to the applicants’ bank account monthly.
10.Standards: According to the number of days applicants have stayed.
11.Extra allowance must be returned by the retirement house.
12.Documents required:
12.1 Applicants: Application form, photocopy of ID card, retirement house contract, photocopy of post office or bank account book, and mentally/physically disable certificate.
12.2 Retirement house or nursery home: List of applicants and receipts.
13.The budget is paid by the Commission’s yearly budget.
