The Capstone Presentation event for the 2022 Second Semester Weekend Child Care Program for Indigenous Peoples—which took place between September 18 and December 3, 2022 at Jingxin Non-Profit Kindergarten in Wenshan, Taipei—will be held by the Taipei Indigenous Peoples Council at 1:30 pm, December 4, 2022 at the Social Innovation Lab, No. 99, Sec. 3, Ren’ai Road, Da’an District, Taipei City. The program is designed to provide a diverse learning environment for indigenous children aged 3-6 residing in Taipei for them to benefit from classes about their cultures and languages.

   The Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' Holiday Program for Young Children was first launched seven years ago. This Program integrates the cultural characteristics of each ethnic group and indigenous ceremonies and makes learning fun for children with arts and physical activities. Tribal life and cultural consciousness are taught in the courses. This year, the annual theme of “Uvaz tu kainaskalan” (fun for children in Bunun) will be featured. The Achievement Exhibition for the second term showcases 16 indigenous peoples’ ceremonies through exhibitions and interactive activities. Through the immersive experience activities, young children in the city can learn more about the cultural issues of different indigenous peoples’ ceremonies in a diverse learning environment.

    The Second Semester Capstone Presentation not only features music and dance performances, indigenous songs, and children’s creative art, but also a school fair. There are interactive booths and exhibits with the children’s work that they completed in class, as well as and dynamic scenarios. All parents and visitors are very welcome to learn more about culture and how precious culture is through these interactive experiences.

Turn into the alley and you will see the entrance to the Social Innovation Lab and Signboard on the right when you are close to Section 3 Ren'ai Rd. The walk is approximately 8 minutes.
